Wayne Horvitz draws from the large body of audio samples recorded at Ft. Worden in Port Townsend for 55 – Music and Dance in Concrete to create a live performance score that uses that material as its foundation. Writing for the phenomenal pianist Cristina Valdes and Trio Parladote, Horvitz has generated a suite of sonically rich and deeply textured compositions.
