ABOUT BOOKING
Nonsequitur usually curates one or two shows per month as part of the Wayward Music Series. We present artists ranging across the spectrum of "experimental" music genres and sub-genres, from esteemed veterans to emerging artists, visiting dignitaries to cherished locals. Sometimes we approach artists, sometimes they approach us, and sometimes we act on suggestions from fellow artists or audience members. Sometimes we book long-time favorites, sometimes we book people we've never heard of before. We usually book many months in advance, but some shows happen on short notice. In short, there is no one way that our programming decisions are made; it's a mysterious blend of intention, chance, luck, and planetary alignment. If you want to pitch an idea for a Nonsequitur concert, send an email to Steve Peters using the form at left. Please include links to your online bio and representative work samples, and optimal dates if you have them. No promises, but it never hurts to ask.

NonSeq: Jacki An
A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Addict is a string trio composed by Jackie An that explores the undercurrents of addiction. This work is my first foray into graphic and text-based notation, as I have historically used dance choreography as a visual score or a loop pedal for composing. Using acoustic string performance, found …
NonSeq: Noel Brass Jr. + Intervales
Intervales is the electronic/ambient music project of composer, electronic musician, and drummer Alex Vittum. Performing with acoustic percussion, synthesizers, and live video processing, he is obsessed with hypnotic and melodic themes, and has an enveloping, contemplative sound that is playful, sentimental, and at times ominous. Alex’s formative percussion studies were with noted jazz drummer Milford Graves, which …
Ben Neill: Trove
Please note that our building’s only elevator is still out of service, so the only way to access the Chapel is via a couple flights of stairs. We apologize for the inconvenience. Mutantrumpet composer/performer Ben Neill will perform Trove, a series of richly textured ambient pieces based on Fibonacci structures that emanate entirely from his instrument’s acoustic timbral improvisations. …
